Introducing New Zealand chess player - WCM Nadia Braganza

TheCrossroad follows up Nadia Braganza, a junior chess player in New Zealand and have played professional chess tournaments held locally  and international.

Nadia interests in chess started at the age of 8years old when it was first introduced in her school at 'St Joseph's Catholic School' based at Takapuna.  Since then she has developed her chess knowledge, gradually with the assistance of school and private coaches as well with guidance and support from her parents. Nadia  is  focused to achieve her dream of being a successful top player preferably a Women Grand Master in New Zealand.  She has presently achieved her first title as " Women Candidate Master" at the Oceania Zonal which was held in Auckland, New Zealand.

Nadia represents chess for New Zealand at events held locally and at international level.  When interviewed, Nadia agrees...that chess has helped her with Maths and to focus.

Thecrossroad takes the initiate to support, encourage and inspire Nadia Braganza to achieve her goal in chess.  With the lack of support and funding for aspiring chess players, Thecrossroad is proud to consider Nadia's interests to be a successful chess player.

Thecrossroad Team plans to publish her achievements and games as we follow her during the chess journey.
